IoTSimulator is built to be minimal and privacy-first. Virtual circuits and simulation sketches run directly inside your web browser. We only collect the minimal information necessary to deliver and save your work:

Account Credentials: If you register an account, we store your chosen username, email address, and a securely hashed password so you can access your workbench across devices. Guest sessions do not require registration and save circuits locally in your browser storage.
Project & Circuit Data: When you choose to save a project, we store your circuit diagram layout, wire connections, and source code sketches in your personal library.
Essential Session Data: Standard HTTP connection data (such as temporary session cookies and basic browser compatibility information) required to maintain your login and render responsive interactive canvas graphics. We do not inspect, track, or collect your device operating system or private machine configurations.

3. How We Use Your Personal Data

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:

To register you as a maker and manage your personal project workbench.
To provide the real-time simulation environment and securely persist your circuits.
